Druid Mysteries with Ivan McBeth 2007
A Druid is a practitioner of an ancient system of knowledge based on the laws of nature. Druids are both male and female, of any religion, belief, race or color. S/He reveres nature as the embodiment of the union of the God and Goddess. Druids endeavor to build a deep, magical, and healing relationship with the Spirit of the Land, to work with Nature, and to further the process of evolution upon Mother Earth. Druidry is transformational, not purely intellectual. It is a way of life.

It takes a lot of energy to transform one’s everyday world into a world of magic, meaning and power. Nevertheless, it can - and does - happen, if you have the map, the perseverance and the right attitude. Over this weekend we will discuss and explore this act of deep magic and transformation, make a strategy to initiate the process, invite the magical allies to help us, and activate it!
Ivan teaches in a natural, intuitive way, often outdoors with Nature and around the fire. Saturday & Sunday's workshop will be held at: Turtle Pointe Retreat Williamsville Road, off Rte 30, 12 miles from Brattleboro Turtle Pointe Retreat is located on a beautiful piece of land on the Rock River with open fields, trees and a labyrinth. It is an easy drive from Brattleboro. We will have 2 meal breaks on Saturday and one on Sunday (bag lunches and a potluck shared dinner Saturday evening).
Turtle Pointe has beautiful Guesthouse accommodations.

Ivan McBeth is a Druid in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. He is the founder of the Megalithic Order of Druids and the Sacred Space School of Shamanic Studies. He is a teacher for the Isle of Avalon Foundation, the Mid-Atlantic School of Geomancy, the Geomancy Group, and was the principal teacher for the Earth Healing School based in Nottingham, UK. Ivan’s passion is the creation of sacred space, and stone circles in particular. Since 1990 he has designed and built ten full-sized stone circles in various countries around the world: in the UK, North America, Canada and Australia. They include the large Swan Circle on the site of the Glastonbury Music Festival, and the Dragonstones in Surrey. Some of these large megalithic temples, consisting of stones of up to twenty tons, were built by hand over many months, utilizing only those tools used by the ancients, and focused muscle and mind power. more

ADVANCED RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!

Participants of the weekend workshop are expected to bring their own bag lunch and, for Sat. dinner, a pot luck dish to share. Also, we will be spending a fair amount of time outside so bring appropriate clothing and a camp chair for your comfort.
